CHAPS is seeking recovery-oriented workers for our In Home and Community Supports program. This program serves adults with intellectual disabilities. Part time positions are available for caring, dependable workers to provide support to individuals in each program. The position includes flexible morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Previous experience in human services/working with intellectual disabilities preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills and belief that recovery is possible for all. Candidates must possess valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Duties to include:
Connecting participants to community resources, including both physical and mental health professionals
Assisting participants with independent living and social skills
Other activities which positively impact progress made toward goals as outlined in participants’ Individualized Support Plans (ISP’s)

Staff and individuals wear masks when they are out in the community. CHAPS doors are locked, and the public must ring the doorbell and answer a series of screening questions before entering the building. Cars are supplied with hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.
